Can't restore 2013 version backup to 2015 version

Hi, I was using Reckon Personal Plus 2013 on a Apple MacBook Pro via Parallels.  I have now bought a new PC with Windows 11 and have just installed Reckon Personal Plus 2015.  But I cannot restore my backup.  Any suggestions?

    In general, my understanding is that upgrades need to be made progressively from one version to the next without jumping between non consecutive releases.  If you still have your Macbook, I would restore the backup to that machine (if the Company file is not still on it).  Then you will need assistance in upgrading through the intermediate release(s) until the 2015 version.  As I have advised my clients, it is desirable to maintain currency by upgrading to each new release.

    Hi

    Thanks for your prompt response.  However, I have solved my own problem by placing my backup file on the hard drive of the new PC and then I was able to restore my backup.  For some reason Reckon Personal Plus 2015 did not want to restore from my external hard drive.
