    Dear Mirko

    When I go into reports ( Profit & loss ) -and click on an item -eg :- electricity ,-I get a message " Fatal Error " - please note I only use QuickBooks to enter all my expenditure items ,- not to run a small business . my entries go back several years .

    I hope I haven't lost all this data

    Russell mate have you tried a verify and rebuild. You can get access from the file menu and utilities then verify.
