    Hi, Jason,

I don't know whether there is a better way than mine - could well be!

I give the shares a nominal issue value of one cent as though that was the purchase price. Works well enough for me.

I'll be interested to see if anyone has a better method.

    Regards,

    Stan

    Hi Stan

In the drop down transaction field do you use Add Shares or Dividend ( Non Cash ) ?

    Hi Jason,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

You should firstly refer to the documentation sent you by the company - it will contain important information how these shares are to be treated and any tax implications.  The statement may state a reference rate and date, whether it is income or capital return, and any ruling by the ATO.  Once you know this information the type of transactions needed in Accounts Personal will become clear.  If you need further information about the bonus please speak to the company's investor help line and your accountant.

    Hope this helps.

    regards,
    John

I just use the Add shares function. But note John G's comments as this can affect the situation.
