Multiple Inventory accounts in Balance Sheet
?I am using Reckon Accounts Premier Manufacturing and Wholesaling Edition and want to know if it is possible to have different balance sheet accounts for different inventory classes.
We have raw materials, components (raw materials turned into a finished good which may also then become an input into another finished good), finished goods and retail items (we buy other peoples finished goods and just sell them at a margin).
It would be easier to be able to have these all separately shown on the balance sheet and in inventory.
Any tips or suggestions are most welcome.

Hi Vince,
thanks for asking.
What you want is not directly possible in Reckon Accounts. Perhaps some of our software partners may have an add-on that will provide what you need.
You could explore to have your Inventory Classes as your first level Inventory entries and all your inventory items a sub-item of the category.
Hope this helps.

Thank you John. I will investigate the classes option you suggest.
Much appreciated.
