Opening a Reckon 2014 company with Reckon 2013?

I have Reckon Accounts Easy start 2013,
A friend set up my accounts on his 2014 version of Reckon - properly set up all the required accounts and linkages.
I find I can't open the file he created for me in my version. I get the message that the file was created in a newer version.
Is there a way to save the file in a backward compatible format? May be via a backup or something?

Hi Joe,

Unfortunately the 2014 file will not open in your Easystart 2013 program version.

You will need to upgrade your program in order to use this file or alternatively create a new file in Easystart 2013

G'day Joe,

Have your friend, open the file that they have setup in Reckon Accounts 2014.
Export the Lists of Accounts, Items, Suppliers, Customers, etc.

You can then create a new empty Reckon Accounts EasyStart 2013 data file.
Then import the Lists.
