posting error from POS to 11 -12 quickbooks

i had an error when posting from POS to 11 -12 quickbooks I coverted the error file to excel and changed the tax code and amended the amounts to be correct. when I try and import the file back it says "0 file imported, 25 errors. Can anyone suggest what could be going wrong.

What error message are you getting? Are you importing it as an iif file?

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your reply. Cant remember the error code although it was a tax file related. I found the item in the error file opened as an excel file and changed it to the correct code and trying to import it as a xls file. This is where it wont allow the new changed file to get updated.  Darren

You can save it as a text file type and in quotes with the extension iif like this "filename.iif". Thanks for the question by the way.
