Upgraded Quicken 2007 to 2016 and will not open as I do not have a password. Tried variations of "admin" without success.

Hi Gregor,
Welcome to the Reckon Community.
Strange.
Usually, the only time you should be asked for a password is if the datafile in 2007 had a password. And then it is advisable to remove the password before upgrade and re-instigate it in the new version.
Suggest you do the following:- Go back to the 2007 installation
- In your datafile enter a password;
- Remove the password.
- Validate then SuperValidate the file
- Create a new copy of your datafile through File > File Operations > Copy
- make a backup of the copied file
- Install 2016 and restore the backup.
regards,
John
