Changing default bank account

We recently changed banking institution. I have gone into the preferences and changed our accounts wherever a default account can be selected but the selected account keeps reverting back to our old one. So I have redone this several times. Is there something I am missing.

    In Preferences there are 2 screens to change, one is My preference and the other is Company preference. Have you checked both of these?

    No I hadn't done that. I had logged in as administrator and changed the company preferences only but hadn't changed my preferences (seems a bit obvious now). Thanks so much for your help Deb. You are such a wizz at this program!
