dll files failed to register

While loading the 2013/14 software, 5 error messages advised that the following ".dll" files failed to register: msgDBAddIn, TerminalDownloadTool, RcnFndRequestHandler, QBPrefs, ICWRapper, qbupdate. Then a final error message advised that qbupdate.exe failed to register. The installation then finished, saying that the installation was successful. However, double clicking the Reckon icon on the desktop fails to open the software. How do I address the error messages?

Please see this knowledge base article on the error. Usually I see this when MYOB AccountEdge is installed on the same computer. http://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=5371.
