Hi, I am new to Reckon. I noticed that the part time workers have been set up as 'Per Pay' for both annual leave & personal leave accrual which is 2.92 and 1.47 respectively based on a full time. Does reckon automatically adjust the accrued amount based on PartTime hours work? Similarly for LWOP when taken?

No. It should never be set up like this. The correct approach is 7.6923% of normal hours for annual leave and half this for personal leave. Those figures only apply to a 38 hour week.

Thanks Kevin. Does it mean that the part timers have been accruing more than they should at this point?

Well if they have 2.92 and 1.46 it will only be correct if they work 38 hours per week.

Sheila - based on what Kevin has pointed out to you, I would be setting the accrual to be based on every hour worked with an accrual rate of .07692 per hour for annual leave and .03846 for personal leave.  Doing it that way means that if the hours vary for any reason, the accrual will calculate on the actual hours worked during the period.  I use the same accrual method for all staff, irrespective of their FTE.

Thanks John. I will be proposing this change.
