So I have been using quicken personal plus since 2000 and am currently running 2016 version on a windows laptop. I have been searching for a compatible Mac version for some time now. The focus seems to be on business large or small , that are compatible with windows users and Mac users. It would be great if I could just use the one laptop to manage my personal finances, SMSF and my investments. Will you release a mac version of your personal range here in Australia any time soon?

Not going to happen. The market is too small0

Well thats a pity. Quicken certainly have the market on personal finance software. Which market is too small? Mac users or quicken personal users? Reckon one would almost be of use to personal users if you could track your share portfolio.

Mac users Sharon. There's no Mac version of Reckon software in Australia either unfortunately.0

I have exactly the same issue - on a PC doing my personal stuff, investments and SMSF, and want to put it on my MacBook Air and trash the PC. Looks like Reckon loses me after a decade plus! There is a market out there, it just hasn't spoken up or been target marketed.0

Steve mate, no there isnt. Or its too small. Cheers0

Hi Steve, So have you found a compatible software package for Mac? Some of them are good for budgeting etc but don't seem to have the allowance to keep track of Australian shares(dividends, imputation credits etc). Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I find it hard to believe there is no market in Australia for a Mac version.0

I find it hard to believe anyone would think there was a market. Macs are barely used outside of graphic design and universities. And there isnt a lot of software that will run on them without a Windows emulator.1

I have been using Quicken 2017 for mac. Its great.. its available for download on the US site. works great on my MAC here in AUS.. Macs are everywhere and there are millions of mac users. saying that they are only used in design circles is ill informed. 6/10 of my friends use Macs not PC's.0

Very funny Michael. Unix is more ubiquitous than Mac OS in business1
-
Ahh yes in businesses outside the design world that is true, but in the real world people seem to be moving away from PC and into the MAC world... well that's what I see..0
-
Honestly, that's what you see? Wow. I work in small businesses every single day and they are like less than one percent of the desktops.0
-
I did agree with you on the business world.. but the home user is now more and more Mac inclined, or maybe my friends and colleagues are just cooler or like nice looking tech..I worked with qantas for 24 years and they have just gone all Mac.. every crew member has an iPad..so thats 7,000 iPads.. thats the trend in large corporations..0

Nonsense. Android are smashing Apple. The only country on earth where Iphones are bigger is Australia. And PCs still rule in 98% of business.0
-
Well thats where I am Australia.. explains what I see then.. we are early adopters..the rest of the world will catch on soon enough ;-) If you are in the US, that explains what you see...but hey its not like there is any competition MAC are just better..
Also this is the correct stat for PC currently its around 88.77 percent of all usage. Something is eating at it.. Must be an apple.. like I said it's a trend and its moving in the right direction.0 -
Easy Michael. You dont get out much. I work with small business every day. Android is smashing ios.0

Love the passion guys but I think this thread has deviated a fair bit from the original question and has now run its course.
At this stage there are no plans in the pipeline for a Mac specific version of the Reckon Accounts Personal unfortunately. I'll post further news on the Community if there are any developments in this area.
Cheers
