Is there a way to configure a QIF file so the data is imported into the TAG field in Reckon Personal Plus 2015?.  I can create a QIF file using XL2QIF but I can not work out how to add data to the TAG field.

I'm not sure if this will work as I'm doing the reverse (exporting to QIF and converting to my own format).

When exporting data from Reckon as a QIF file, the TAG field is merely appended to the Account or Category preceded with a slash.   So if the category is Petrol, merely append your TAG "/TagName".

The line entries should look something like these:
    LPetrol/TagName
    L[Savings]/TagName
I don't know whether Reckon will pick up on this in the import procedure but it's worth a try.   The first character, "L" is the QIF code indicating an account or category.

    Hope this helps.

    Steve.

Hi Peter, I'm curious, did my suggestion work?

I edited the csv file and added the tag data in the category field. e.g. Rental Income/Unit 4. If you have a sub category put the tag on the sub category field. e.g. |Maintenance|Electrical repairs/Unit 4|

Did it work?   Was the TagName imported in Reckon?

Yep. I used xl2qif to convert the csv to qif. Imported qif to reckon. It worked a treat.
