Personal Plus 2017 file rename problem. I use File, rename, enter old file name then small window closes before I can enter new file name..

    When you click on "Rename" John, then click on your existing file name once only.  Now in the spare box at the bottom type in your new name.  You may be double clicking or you may be typing the same name at the bottom as the top?

    Also if that doesn't work try validate & super validate first.

    I had a brainwave.  Problem is now solved.  Changed the order of entering the file names.  I firstly entered the new file name and then it allowed me to enter (select) the old name and all was then OK.
