trying unsuccessfully to instal personal plus 2018 - I have quicken 2009 installed - does this stop

I am trying to install a trial version of Personal Plus 2018 - everything seems to be there in temp/user/kevin except i can't start the program - the exe file is still the download file which just wants to be "installed"
What is the problem
I have Quicken 2009 installed - is that an issue

    You canmot have two versions of cashbook / personal installed at once
