Changing average cost to zero

We have old stock that we want to write down the value to zero, we still have stock on hand and we want to change the average cost field to zero, can this be done?

Hi Lauren - yes, this can be done - go to Adjust Quantity Value on Hand - you will find this on the Home screen - or under the Inventory Activities options in the Supplier Menu - or from the Activities button when the Item List is open. Make sure you tick the Value Adjustment box at bottom left, select your items - check/adjust the quantity on hand - but type in 0.00 as the Value of the stock and this should adjust the average cost to Zero.
