Is anyone aware of whether sales and purchases can be imported into Reckon Accounts Enterprise 2019 using IIF or QIF formats?

Hi Luis,
You can import sales and purchases into Reckon using IIF format, but it is not the best practice.
If you plan to import data regularly from another system into Reckon, you might think of using a custom solution that can help you to do things that the IIF approach cannot do:
- Duplicate detection
- Better error handling
- Custom logic application (for eg, item matching, prefill values)
- No manual process
- And many more
If you want to learn more about a custom solution that works the way you want, please let me know.
Thanks,

Hi Luis. We support the IIF import function but not building the imports themselves. Phuong is correct > using the API is a much better approach for many reasons.
You can read more about building an IIF HERE.0 -
Thanks Jason,
We'd prefer to use a REST API but from what I gather this isn't possible using a desktop version of Reckon.
Is this correct Jason?0 -
That isn't correct Luis. As long as the developer has a web connector (and many have developed one) then you are good to go.
nb. We no longer support the Intuit web connector which does cause a bit of confusion.0 -
Thanks Jason,
Is there anywhere I can find information on a supported web connector?0 -
You will need to check with partners who do custom developments; and luckily one has posted here already1
