Hi Debbie,
Is it just this one particular employee that you're noticing this occurring with or is it all?0 -
Hi, Just one employee. I released him but he still show active. So I entered a cross to make him inactive but still not resolved. The problem is that he is back working and i need to enter his pay, thank you0

Was there a solution to this issue? I have the same message "Reckon has stopped working" and shuts down. The employee was on maternity leave but has returned and is showing as active in the employees column, but does not appear on the payrun. When I click on the name to look for details I am getting the shutdown message.

Hi Karen
Try Verifying the company file, then run the Rebuild THREE times (for some reason, 3 times solves a lot of data corruption issues 😊)
File > Utilities > Verify Data
File > Utilities > Rebuild Data (x 3)

Unfortunately three rebuilds didn't work and nor did technical support :(

Hmm … that’s a bit of a mystery then 🤔
2 suggestions:
1) You may need to send the file to Reckon’s data recovery team (Note this is a paid service though so there will be a cost involved)
This would be my first preference ^
2) You could create the Employee again … as long as you have a record of ALL the current accruals & balances (including leave) outside of the software if you’re unable to access the employee’s details currently.
NOTE I would strongly recommend NOT doing No 2) though as this could cause more issues for STP lodgement. You may also be unable to recreate the employee record if you can’t edit the original as it won’t accept duplicated information (in either RA OR STP 😩)

Hi Karen,
This happened to me about a year ago. Long story short, I found that if I deleted the notes from the employee profile, then the system stopped crashing. In order to access the notes without crashing, I ran an Employee Contact List, and then clicked on the data line for the offending employee. This allowed me into the profile without crashing. Once his profile is open you can get into the notes.
I hope this works for you.
Cheers
