Quicken 2009 not Installing

I have just bought a new computer and tried to install Quicken 2009 from my Reckon Advantage Membership page and it goes straight the first screen. Then when I select close the 2nd screen appears, with Error 5 message, then you go OK and it closes all. I have searched and tried lots of things for Error 5 on the community.

I use Reckon Home & Business 2021 for all except "share portfolio" which is what I need Quicken 2009 for just so you understand why I want such an old version, and it stated on my old machine that Quicken 2009 licence is valid until 01/01/2030.

So then I tried via a version that the company that provided me with the computer had downloaded to an external harddrive, I can Run as Administrator, and it goes through the steps Install now, Unzip, OK, then I get the Welcome screen click next to install Quicken 2009, Then I agree to the terms, Next, Destination folder I change to C/Program Files, Australia version, then "Ready to Install the Program, and select Install. It does a quick try and then the following Error appears and the only option I have is to close it, as I have searched and searched the community for many suggestions.

I appreciate anything you can offer me.

Cheers Barb

Not Quicken 2009 I only use that for entering share portfolio, and there is nothing in Reckon Home & Business that does this is there? Or Hosted?

OK I will have a look but was told there was no Investing section in H&B, certainly would be easier.

I was even thinking of just using Excel to avoid the issues

Gerry don't suppose you know a way to import all the data from Quicken to H&B?

We can upgrade a backup but i dont think i can do just the investing part, Reckon can possibly do that thru their Data Migration dept.

Reckon won't give me any help on this now it is out of their expertise, they have it in the too hard basket, hence telling me to ask the community what to do, a circle I am not winning.

I will relook at it next week.
