ATO STP Reporting vs Reckon P&L

Options

Hi All,

I am in the process of reconciling everything to get a head start on EOFY.

Can someone tell me if the STP Reporting section of the ATO Portal should match Reckon Payroll reports / P&L? I appear to have made a mistake an uploaded the same week twice via the MyGov reckon Portal back in September and then in March missed a week completely , so I guess what I need to know is how I fix it?

    Hi Gillian

STP updates YTD balances each submission (rather than just that particular pay totals). Therefore, providing you have submitted since, this will have updated automatically.

Your submissions should match with your Payroll Reports (I use the Payroll Summary set to This Payroll Year to-date, with columns displayed as per the relevant pay frequency eg Week, Two Week, Month etc) This should be used to cross-reference each submission's totals. I also have a second version of this Payroll Summary configured to display columns by Employee to enable me to keep an eye on each Employee's YTD figures (NB You can view/check this in GovConnect by clicking on the Employee's name hyperlink)

Essentially yes, your P&L should match 😊

Thank you very much Shaz, that makes me feel a whole lot better. This new age ATO big brother thing gets a bit overwhelming at times.
