Can't open Accounts Hosted file in 2020 R2 - Reckon tries to open in 2021 R2 and upgrade

I am trying to open an Accounts Hosted file in 2020 R2 and when I try to launch in 2020 R2 it tries to upgrade to 2021 R2. I have tried several web browsers and they are doing the same. I've even tried clicking on the 2021 R2 link and it's the same. Please help as I need to finalise payroll before upgrading the file.

The system has updated to 2021 R2. You just need to type “Yes” in the box & follow the prompts to complete the process. You’ll then be on the most current version & will access it via the new “2021” button.

NB: This doesn’t affect finalising - You can do it in either version ☺️

This is not correct. I should be able to access the file via 2020 R2, I have not upgraded the file and do not wish to upgrade until I have finalised payroll for 2021.

Does anyone else access the file (eg other users) who may have inadvertently started the upgrade process ?

The file needs to be upgraded before the first pay run in this new FY due to the Super increase. As I said, upgrading doesn't affect finalising 2021, it's really just to ensure you're current.

I've just managed to get on and it hasn't been upgraded. I'm not sure why this is happening though, it was a problem a few days ago aswell and has happened in the past when they have released upgrades.

    Hmm ... that's strange 😩

@Rav any info on this, with auto upgrade attempts being a known issue ?
