Activation Limit

I have been using Quickbooks for many years, since after 2000

I have used it on my Desktop and Laptop so I can do book keeping when traveling

since I updated to Reckcon Accounts 2021 Plus on my desktop, it will no longer install/activate on my Laptop, it says I exceeded my activation's

Reckon Accounts Plus 2020 worked perfect on Desktop and Laptop

why has the limit been reduced to just one activation? It makes 0.00000% business sense and ends up in customer loss

is that your desire?

Actually you should be able to install it as this can happen when hard drives or computers die.

I agree, all other software I use can be installed on two devices or have a spare activation in case of catastrophic failure

Just call reckon they will fix it by resetting, no dramas.

I did ring them and they declined because it can only be on one PC

I think you forgot to tell them that is was only on one computer as your hard drive died.

I too have used it since after 2007. Have you had to buy new software or given new activation codes as that’s all I need and I am finding it frustrating to have to buy new software when all I need is the basics - thanks
