Importing Accountants Copy

Does anyone know how can I import the accountants copy my accountant sent to me via dropbox. It appears to be a QBB file. I've saved it to downloads, and desktop but they don't show up when I try to import the file.

These are the properties of the file I received back from my accountant:-

Hi, QBB is the file format for a backup, not an Accountant's Copy. To restore the file, go the File menu, select to open or restore a file, then select the option to restore a file.

Be aware that restoring the file will overwrite your current file if you choose to name it the same as your current file.

Thanks Tanya, that's what I thought. Do you think it would be easy for my accountant to send me his changes as a QBY extension. He was unaware/unfamiliar of "accountants copy" so may not have known how to send it back. The trouble is I've been working on the file in the meantime so don't want to lose all that input.

That depends if the accountant opened the file as an Accountant's Copy. If they didn't the option is not available to export the changes. They could print a list of journals they entered since they opened your file and send it to you. Talk to your accountant because getting the import file would definitely be easier than re-entering their changes.

    Good Luck
