Completely new to this accounting software. Have managed to find some online help, but can only get this far.

Have selected Payroll item type - Company Contribution, then the next page will not give any drop down options, box is greyed out so I can't select Salary Sacrifice (SS).

How can I get past this to set it up correctly?

Thanks

Cath

    Hi Cath

A Company Contribution is an additional liability the Employer has to pay for. Salary Sacrifice isn't a Company Contribution as it's a portion of the Employee's own gross wage that they are choosing to 'sacrifice' in return for a reduction in their PAYG tax liability.

Therefore, you need to select the last Payroll Item Type Super Contribution (Company & Employee Contribution). You will then be able to select Salary Sacrifice (SS) from the Super Contribution dropdown list 😊
