Installing Reckon QB 2018 onto windows 7

Hi there

has anyone put the 2018 onto windows 7 ? I keep getting a message saying the install was interrupted, i had turned off the virus program but I hadn't uninstalled the 2017 version because I thought the new version would overwrite it . Can anyone help?

The 2018 version is now unable to be activated (eg once opened 5 times, it will revert to read-only without activation) as it’s non-compliant so you may be unable to use it 😬

(You could try calling Reckon support but unfortunately, this is a legal requirement for software providers to only be permitted to support STP-compliant products so is largely out of Reckon’s hands)

It was the Reckon help desk who sent me the file to download but it won't install so I haven't been able to open it at all I have tried twice .

They seem to have washed their hands of the issue now despite me having paid for a licence so I guess that's why.

I people seem to be having problems getting Reckon to install even if they have windows 10 on their computer so I am not sure what will install and work on windows 7
