STP File Error error message - 'text character'

Hi All

I have submitted an STP file and received the following Error message:

A text character must be one of the following: A to Z a to z 0 to 9 ! @ $ % & * ( ) - = [ ] ; : ' " , . ? / or a space character

I believe I have found the error (I used '>' in a payroll item which is not listed above so I am presuming this was the unacceptable character). Do I need to do a Full File Replacement to check if this was actually the error or do I just leave until the next FN payrun submission and hope that it is ok?

    Hi Kyle,

    Once you've corrected the error in the item you can create a brand new STP file for that pay run and send it through GovConnect as normal ie. a normal new pay run not a Full File Replacement.
