What happens if you forgot to process a single touch payroll can you go back and add it after or is that too late?

    Hi @margaret

    As STP is reported on a YTD basis any subsequent submissions you send through will update the employee balances to date.

    The advice we have from the ATO is that submissions must be made on the pay date or before so its best not to miss too many.

    Ok thanks but i can do an update event to get ytd balances correct?

    An Update Event should only be used when you need to make an amendment or change to a previously submitted submission. Info below -

    If you'd like to send through the submission you missed I'd recommend that you send it through as a normal new submission rather than an Update Event.
