Error 403 when attempting STP, again.

When I use the desktop Enterprise version I'm getting this error. I had this happen some time ago and it somehow resolved itself. Seemingly not this time. I use Google Chrome for the browser to connect to the STP home page. No problem when I use Hosted. Any suggestions to fix this once and for all.

    Hi Lance,

    Where specifically in the process are you encountering this error message? When you attempt to login to GovConnect, submit the file itself or somewhere else along the line?

    Are you using a Google/Office 365 login or just a normal one?

    More importantly, does the same occur if you launch GovConnect from OUTSIDE of Reckon Accounts? ie. if you open Chrome yourself and go to https://portal.reckon.com/ and login rather than going through the Reckon Accounts launcher after hitting 'Export'.

    What's a Google/Office login? I've only ever worked with/within Reckon software, ie used the RA launcher.

    I tried the portal.reckon link you've provided and got the same Error 403.

    What I mean by a Google or Office 365 login is when you reach the Portal page, do you usually login using one of the SSO options on-screen OR do you just use a normal login ie. enter your email address and password?


    Are you able to reach the login screen OR does it hit the error screen immediately ie. you don't even reach the login screen as shown in my screenshot?













    I just went through a bit of testing both within Reckon Accounts and also directly in Chrome itself as well to try and see if I can replicate what you're experience but can't seem to.

    I'd suggest perhaps try to clear your browser cache and cookies as a first step. Secondly, if you try to access the https://portal.reckon.com/ from a different browser eg. Firefox does the problem persist for you?
