I have finalised pay for YE 2022 with STP. When my employee checks the mygov site, they are showing two identical income statements with different BMS ID. I have checked the Reckon gov connect site which only shows one lodgement. Anyone have a reason for the two income statements. The income statements are showing two different employee numbers and i have checked Reckon and they are only in the system with one number?

Are both income statements showing as 'Tax Ready'? Or only the one that you've sent the EOFY finalisation for?

The most common reason for two income statements appearing is attributed to the employee number being changed in the software at some point through out the financial year.

Hello Rav,

They are both showing as tax ready.

The employee's number HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED ever. I have checked all employees both active and inactive and they are only in the system once, and have only ever been entered once.

You've mentioned that there is a different BMSID, has this employee had income reported from another source ie. another workplace and/or software?

As I mentioned above, its usually caused by key employee info that has changed at some point in the year eg. employee number or TFN but if that's not the case then they may have had income reported from a different software provider eg. if they have a second employer etc. As both of them are in 'Tax Ready' status, it means that they've been finalised ie. an EOFY submission has been made for both.

Is this occurring for all your employees or just one?
