Adding bin location and getting that data to show up on templates?

using Reckon Hosted

I added a bin location to the item's customs field. Then put a location in there. R6A.

Then I went to the packing list template and added in the Bin Location to the Columns and ticked both Screen and Print fields.

Then did a sales order for that item, then changed to the Packing slip. The Bin Location column showed up fine but the data R6A did not. The guy on reckon support said that the data does not come though and it has to be typed in automatically, but we have to MANUALLY type it in every time. That is absurb! Is this right?

Hi there, looks like you have done everything correctly. Can you try to create a SO and choose the right template (Packing List) before you select any item? Then see if you choose that item, does the custom field (location) show the custom value?

I think this may be because they’re different types 🤔

You created an Item Custom Field but have added a Column to the template for it so RAH doesn’t realise they are for the same thing.

Hi PhuongDo your idea worked. Sorry Shaz yours was not correct. Add the bin location into the SO tempalte. Make a SO first then do the Pack list and it shows the contents of the Bin location field. yeh! Thanks for replying.
