I decided to change the layout of my invoice template but when I clicked on the Properties tab in Layout Designer to change the colour of the column tabs, I found that I no longer have the Rounded Corners section, the Colour button, Pattern section or the option to change the thickness of the borders. I only have the 4 border options - left, right, top, bottom check boxes. How can I get those options? Also, when I clicked on one of the tabs in my existing invoice, the colour I had disappeared and I can't get it back. Finally, how can I move the individual columns in an invoice. Everytime I click on the column all of the columns move as one. I've just attached a copy of the Reckon Service invoice so that I could open the Layout Designer to show the Properties section.

    Hi Rossco

Which version of Reckon Accounts are you using (Accounting, Plus, Premier or Enterprise) ?

I believe the basic Accounting version has limitations for template customisation 😬

    Hi Rossco

That would be why then - You must have been using a higher version previously. It's not possible to "downgrade" a file though so did you start a new Company File instead, when you got the Plus version ?

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't realise at the time when I got this version that it would not have have those options. It also doesn't have the option of saving invoices as a .pdf which I can overcome by emailing it to myself, save it as a .pdf and then forward that file to our client. I had been using Reckon Accounts 2017 before it became redundant & I'm guessing it was the premier version. I suppose I am now left with two choices - either put up with what I have or bite the bullet and upgrade to the premier version but I would like to thank you so much for your quick response to my dilemna & your help.

    You’re very welcome Rossco.

Did you start a new company file from scratch in this new Plus version or are you still using your original file ?

If you’re using the same file, you wouldn’t have been able to open or restore it it in a lower version as the file wouldn’t have been compatible 🤔
