Salary Sacrifice - amounts no longer automatically showing

Hi everyone,

I have had Salary Sacrifice amounts for 2 employees automatically appearing (fixed amount per week) when I run payroll, up until the beginning of March 2023, when the amounts dropped off for some reason.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do I best 'fix' this - just add the total Salary Sacrifice amount for March to the next payroll? Can I change something in the payroll centre to make it appear automatically again?

Hmm ... Check that there's not an amount entered in the Limit box on the employee record:

... & also that there's no Default limit amounts entered/ticked on the Payroll Item itself:

I don't tend to set up Payroll Items to use Qty if it's a $ amount as Qty is generally intended for count-able things (eg no. of Items, kms etc) rather than for a monetary $ amount 😬

    Hi DebR

Are you meaning they're not automatically displaying on the Paycheque when you create it or do you mean they're missing in STP/Super report ?

    Hi Shaz,

Correct - they are not automatically displaying on the Paycheque when I create it. They automatically appeared up until 1 March 2023, and nothing has changed, so I'm not sure what happened! From what I can tell, the settings are all the same in the backend in their employee cards.

    Thanks,

    Deb

To clarify - they are automatically appearing in the 'Other payroll items' section, but I now have to manually add a quantity to have it added in to the paycheque.

Is it Super that's being salary sacrificed or something else ?

    Hi Shaz,

Yes, it is Super being Salary Sacrificed. The issue applies to 2 different employees, and I've checked both of their employee cards, and the payroll item, and can't see where the issue is. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Just did today's payrun, and it's now reappearing! lol. No idea what happened, but it's back in any case. So weird!
