Holiday calculation

I have had problem with the Personal & Holiday times not loading correctly.

Reckon have suggested using the Workaround 2, as ( Workaround 1) did not work, to try to get around the problem.

Has anyone else managed to do this with success?

Is there a easier way to create a new employee profile with the same employee information, without having to manually input all data.

    Hi @agofarm

    What is the specific issue you're experiencing when you say they're "not loading correctly" ?

    There appears to be a random glitch that some users have experienced with leave balances being out but to date, Reckon haven't been able to recreate this in order to positively identify the cause(s).

    NOTE: I ALWAYS only ever set up leave to accrue "Every Hour" & personally, I have never experienced it being incorrect. However, the client files I have come across it in, have always been when leave is set to accrue via the other method(s) so I feel this is very relevant.

    Due to the introduction of STP, I don't recommend setting up a new employee profile as the employee needs to have - & retain - the same, unique Employee Number so this (& possibly other info duplication) may be problematic.

    At the beginning of the year, all holidays calculated correctly, within the system, on the pay slips the amounts are not the same. When an employee had either holiday or personal leave, the hours are not reduced.

    I did try to set up an existing employee as a new employee, with a new number as a trial, but with the name being in the system, I was unable to do this.

    Everything is set up correctly, I have been over & over the problem. I am now having to manually edit the Leave Details every pay. Also for a couple of employees who have deductions in place, these are also not calculating.

    Quite Annoying, It is making for a few disgruntled employees.

    Last Year I had my bookkeeper look into this, she doubled checked everything for me. So I now that the set up is correct.

    Are all the leave accruals now set to "Every Hour":

    Unfortunately, once set up under the other methods & this issue occurs, it's not always possible to get them permanently calculating correctly again.

    How old is the file ? As a last resort, starting a whole new company file may be the only way to fix it.

    A bookkeeper won't necessarily be aware of all the specific RA configurations - Deductions should be calculating correctly, so if they're not, this will be due to how that particular Payroll Item has been configured.

    The bookkeeper I have is Reckon Accredited. I will enquire about starting a new company file.
