Reckon One to cease operations in the UK

Hi everyone,

We wanted to let you know Reckon is ceasing operations in the United Kingdom. This will only affect Reckon One UK users.

Compliance changes, brought about by Making Tax Digital, and new legislation like Open Banking, have increased the resources required to support the development of Reckon One in the UK. It’s become clear that in order for us to continue to deliver the best solutions locally, we need to adopt a more focused approach.

This is why we’ve decided to exit the accounting software market in the UK.

As a reminder, from May 1st 2023, Reckon One UK users will no longer have access to your Reckon account.

Reckon Limited has applied to cancel its authorisation with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Payment Services Directive (PSD) Registered Account Information Service Provider (RAISP).

What does this mean?

• Reckon One UK users currently have read-only access and can export and migrate your data up until April 30th 2023.
• From 01/05/2023, Reckon One UK users will no longer be able to access Reckon One subscription and related data.
• We have partnered with FreeAgent, a small business software provider to deliver the option of a hassle-free migration pathway.

Next steps:

• If you wish to export your reporting files ahead of the change, you can do so by going to: ‘individual reports’ > select ‘export’. Reports can be exported in PDF, CSV, XSLX or RTF formats

• If you haven't already and would like to make the switch from Reckon One to FreeAgent, you will be able to migrate your data before 01/05/2023.

It's a change to how Reckon has been operating, but as we move forward, it will allow us to focus on our core markets closer to home in Australia and New Zealand.
