Does Reckon have Technical Support for their products?

Ph: 1800 732 566 refused to provide any technical support.

Who do I speak to?

    The Reckon Personal Range software does not include phone-based technical support however the Community here is a great place to connect with fellow Personal users to share ideas, troubleshoot issues and connect.


    Is there a specific problem that you're contending with at the moment? If so, can you give us some details.

    Application failed to start because side-by-side configuration is incorrect

    This Reckon help page says to go to Microsoft Article KB961894. Neither of which help.

    Don't bother. Microsoft - who actually have customer service and tech support - were able to resolve the issue. It is a disgrace and a farce that a software company thinks it is a good idea to refuse to provide tech support, and expects their customers to self diagnose and resolve the issue, when their product fails to work.

    So are you saying that my suggestion acually worked and it wasnt a Reckon issue.

    No, your suggestion didn't work. And there is clearly a Reckon issue.

    It was only after escalating the issue with Reckon as a complaint to get a case number, followed by a week's worth of multiple follow up calls to Reckon, and reminding Reckon of their obligations under Australian Consumer Law, Sections 54 & 60, did a Reckon tech support person finally call back to trouble-shoot the issue. His conclusion was that it was a compatibility issue between Reckon and the Windows operating system, but he was unable or unwilling to go any further. His suggestion was to contact Microsoft's support team.

    Microsoft's support person was very supportive and professional in proactively trouble-shooting the issue, and finding a solution.
