We want set the access right on journal account, e.g payroll expenses set someone cant to see this accounts. but can see /input other account on journal. Would you please advise for us. Thanks a lot.

You would have to setup a user and give them access to just the areas you wanted, giving them their own username and password

Actually we want to set security at account level by user. That is, user A cannot see payroll expense related accounts but can see any other accounts and input journals into these other accounts. Would you please advise whether it can be done or not. Thanks a lot.

I’m sure if you don’t give a user access to payroll functions it will do what you want, the only way is to test it after you’ve set it up

There are so many choices to look at, Roles and users. Easy to lock out of payroll, but I couldn’t give access to part of the chart of accounts only. Depends on just what you want them to do, you need to experiment. Set up a role and user, username and password, then login using the new username and test it as you go.. but you have to go back to admin to fine tune and change settings. Good luck with it

@Ms Yuen If a User has restricted access, they will be able to see the name of the account itself in the list, but won't be able to access or see any transactions/figures posted to it 😊
