I have entered the tax code into a new WHM worker as 3 instead of 8, & it has deducted too much tax for his first pay. How do I correct that pay?

    Hi @Denise Ibbo

Have you registered as a WHM Employer ?

Tax Code 8-No TaxC & the manual entry of "15" for Tax % ONLY applies to employers who have specifically registered 😬

If that's the case, you can correct these settings in the employee record.

If you've already paid the employee, edit the Paycheque & it should automatically update the tax to the applicable amount. You can then just pay the employee a net topup of the difference.

If the 2 payments are over 2 bank rec periods, I would use a Clearing bank account ("Pay" the original Paycheque out of the Clearing account, then use Write Chq to enter the 2 payments to the employee (from your main bank account, posting directly back to the Clearing account to zero it out - NO tax codes!)
