Historical File

Hello, I stopped using accounts hosted in July / August 2023 as we switched to a different accounting program. I did have read only access to our file which I think was enterprise on desktop. I unfortunately lost all files on my laptop however due to a bug and my Reckon file is not recoverable. My membership with Reckon has now obviously expired and I’ve just been told that I need to upgrade my old file at a cost of $965 just so I can again have access to it. Just clarifying that I only need read only access to look at historical data.

Can anyone please clarify if this is the case and the only way I can go about having access to my file again.

$965 is obviously not pocket change and cant quite believe the expense for me just wanting to access the file again but not use it.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

    Morning @marrielle373

To clarify, do you still have access to an intact copy of your Reckon company file? If so, then you should still have the ability to open and access the file (read-only) in Reckon Accounts Desktop.

I've also spoken with our Customer Service team and they've made the 2022 edition of Reckon Accounts Desktop available for you if you've lost access to the software. You'll need to sign in to the Reckon Members Area using your Customer ID & PIN and you'll be able to download and activate the software which you can then use to access your file. You will need to action this today.

If you have any questions please let us know.

Hello Rav, I appreciate your comment. Thankyou so much.

I do not have access to an intact copy of the file as far as I know. My laptop was completely wiped of all files on it.

I will now try to access via the Members Area link you have provided to see how I go with downloading the file. I may be back in touch.

    Thanks again

    Skye

    Hello Rav, I’ve tried installing.

I need to Unzip in the Winzip self extractor yes?

I have to allow the app to make changes to my device yes?

When I do this it asks for installation key code? I don’t know what this is and unsure if I’m following the correct steps.

More guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
