is there a way to change the column headers within Hosted or do you have to amend the Excel file every time. ie P&L budget VS Actual directors want the $ Over Budget to say Variance to Budget.

The name of the column in the report preference settings is fixed as "% of Budget" and "$ Difference" and cannot be modified within the Reckon Accounts reporting screens.

Unfortunately, if you want "$ Over Budget" to show as "Variance to Budget" then you would need to export the report to Excel, and then modify it in Excel.

Depending on your level of familiarity with Excel, you could consider creating a macro to automate that task of changing the cell containing the text "$ Over Budget" to "Variance to Budget" by recording a text search and replace macro.

You can manage the changes within the Reports itself. As you create a report, clicking on Modify Report will give you an option to select the titles/headers that you want to reflect in the reports as in the screenshot provided below -

@Tanvi_kataria does your suggestion meet @ShelleyG 's request. It seems to me that you have shown her how to change titles etc rather than the actual column heading

Column heading $ Over Budget - have been asked to change this to Variance to Budget. I can change it easily within Excel, just have to remember to do it.
