Issues with MFA

Hoping someone can help. I decided to be organised and turn on MFA this morning. I followed instructions and it said MFA enabled. Didnt give me an option to choose mobile or app. It didn't log me out either. I was able to continue using Reckon and then about 20 min later it said I'd been logged out. The prompt for entering the 6 digit code came up. I opened my authenticator app that I use for another product and I tried pushing the + button. It asks for set up key or scan qr code. Where is the qr code to scan.
I now cant access Reckon and need to get into it urgently. I tried entering the recovery pin and that comes up with API error. I now only have two attempts left to enter mfa and I am getting rather concerned. Any help would be great please.

if you use the same login details for reckon hosted and the reckon portal for STP, the same MFA applies, which is why it was already ticked

Thanks for explanation Kris. That helps a little. However I get a code sent to my mobile when I log into
reckon portal. I am not getting anything when trying to log in to hosted. Thats why I assumed I might have to go through google authenticator app. How do I get the code text to my mobile?

at the moment it’s not required daily, not until 15/5 I believe, I’ve been logging in without a code

If you log in to the Reckon Portal with your Reckon Accounts Hosted login credentials and have already setup MFA there then it'll use the same MFA.
There is a message notifying this when enabling MFA in Hosted, screenshot example below.So with that said, if you're being prompted to enter an MFA code into Hosted at the moment, just use the same MFA that you've already got setup for your Reckon Portal as well.

Thanks Rav. Yes it is prompting me to enter a 6 digit code. My problem is where do I get that code from? If I log into Reckon portal it sends the code to my mobile as a text. It isn't giving me this option when I log into hosted. It brings up the picture I posted above. As I mentioned I tried to use the lost your device click here to enter your recovery pin. I entered the recovery pin and got the following error. I seem to be going in to circles now. Not sure what to do.
Help please, going crazy trying to work it out.

Ok so, now that MFA is enabled on your Hosted account as well, you'll receive an MFA code via SMS to your mobile in the same way that you do when you login to the Reckon Portal.
Are you not receiving an SMS when you try to login to Hosted?
If not, can you send me your Reckon Accounts Hosted user name in a private message along with the user name that you use to login to the Reckon Portal and I'll take a look at a couple of things on my end.
