Remember Me ticked but password has dropped off login screen

Morning

when I login in and enter username and password, the option to "remember me" is still there, however the password is now dropped off. Is this correct?

If I have to enter my credentials each time I login, why is this option still there?

Have I missed that memo?

    The Remember Me function will retrieve your user name and password IF the login credential cookie is found when the login page is loaded AND the remember me checkbox is ticked.

    If the Remember Me checkbox is unticked and then you login the login credential cookie will expire and therefore on your next login after that your login credentials won't appear.

    So with all that said, if your password is not being prefilled its likely due to the Remember Me checkbox not being ticked the last time you logged in. Have you changed your login password recently and if so, are there any special characters included in the password?

    Thanks for confirming, yes clearing your browser history will have removed the login credential cookie.

    The next time you need to login, enter your password and tick Remember Me. Upon your next login AFTER that one, it should remember both your user name and password provided you don't have any browser or other settings switched on that regularly clears your cache/cookies.

    mine is still remembering, username and password. I use Mozilla Firefox

    I'm using google and it's not saving password.

    Might be an issue?

    Doesn't look like any issue with remembering the password with any of the browsers and I have tested as well.

    Can you please confirm, when did you first observed that it's taking off the password and asking you to re-enter?

    Hi Rav

    i had to clear my browsing history last week, it has happened since then, however I didn't have to re-enter my username, that was still prefilled. I always have the tick box ticked. I have logged in since clearing cache, entered password, but again this morning it had not been prefilled.

    Haven't changed password. It is as issued by RAH.
