STP FILE

Recently uploaded STP file. Some wages had to be changed. I resent the STP file (which I have done in the past), to replace the previous file. On this occasion the STP file did not override the previous file, leaving 2 entries for the same date. Is there anyway to delete the file? or will this will have to be changed on the end of month IAS

Hi @agofarm,

When you made the changes for the pay run, did you resubmit to the ATO as an update event or a normal submission?

When you are making changes to a pay run that has already been sent to the ATO, please ensure that you always select 'Send as update event'. It also may take some time to adjust on the ATO's end before the changes appear.

Also just adding on to Lucas's post, unfortunately there is no way to delete a STP submission. STP updates YTD balances each submission so if the most recent submission has the correct figures, it will override previous ones.

Thanks for that as yet the updated STP has not cancelled out the previous one..

@agofarm It won't cancel it out on the main screen (This visibility is an ATO compliance requirement unfortunately 🙄), but if you check under the submitted STP file's Detail link, then under the Detail link for the applicable employee, you will see their Income Statement. This is what shows in their myGov account & it is here you should see the updated YTD balances reflected, including any adjustments made 😊
