Is Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2024 software compatible with Windows on ARM?

I was looking to purchase a new Windows laptop and wanted to confirm whether the latest desktop version of Reckon Accounts home & business can run on an ARM-based windows device, either natively or through Microsoft's Prism emulation. Thanks

My very basic understanding is that some of the new Microsoft laptops being released are not using an intel chip, but are using a Qualcomm Snapdragon chips which have an ARM- based processor/cpu
as its relatively new, many reviews are saying not all programs can run so wanted to check if the latest desktop version works with it.
I also understand that as this program is using x86 for windows it may need to run an x86 to ARM emulation layer to work.
Appreciate any help members of this forum can provide0 -
Hi @jab011
Just wanted to follow on this with a bit of info. The product team have run a test on an ARM-based device with Home & Business 2022.
Installation and functionality all passed with the exception of emailing and importing Web Connect (QFX) files.

Hi. I wanted to follow up on this question as I am likely to purchase a Microsoft Surface Pro computer that runs a Snapdragon processor and before I purchase I was looking for assurance that Reckon Personal Plus works fine on this architecture.
Thanks in advance.0 -
I have been using the desktop Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2022 Release R1, Australian Edition, since November 2024 with no problems noted to date. I use it weekly, including regularly downloading share price updates. Cheers, J

Hi jab001,
I found your post useful as I am considering buying a Microsoft Surface Pro and I am pleased to hear that the Snapdragon processor does not cause any issues with Reckon Accounts.
Reckon aside, I would be interested in your general thoughts on this machine? Reccomendation?Regards
