Hi, since upgrading to Reckon Accounts 2024 my Payroll has been reporting the Gross Pay incorrectly

Hi, since upgrading to Reckon Accounts 2024 my Payroll has been reporting the Gross Pay incorrectly when the STP file is lodged on Reckon GovConnect. With the 2023 version the Gross pay was reporting correctly as the total before Salary Sacrifice Super. Now with the 2024 version it is reporting the Gross Pay total as the amount after Salary Sacrifice Super as was the case in STP phase 1. I didn't change anything except upgrade to the 2024 version. I have tried setting up a new Salary Sacrifice item but it is still reporting the Gross pay amount incorrectly. Thanks

If you can please provide us with some more additional information regarding the issue -

Have you made any changes to the employee records?
Is this specific to an employee or new hired employee?
When did you first observed the issue?

Hi Tanvi,

No changes were made to employees records. All employees with salary sacrifice super are affected. The issue occurred on the first payroll reported in July after upgrading to the 2024 version and has continued since then.

I understand you haven’t made any changes, but could you please check the payroll item setup for the Salary Sacrifice Item?

Check and confirm the Tax Tracking Type-

Purpose of me asking this to be sure of all the small features that could cause this issue with Payroll. It would be helpful if you can please share some screenshots of the Pay item set-up.

Hi Tanvi,

I have checked that link thank-you but unfortunately it is a different issue to what I am having.

However I did read this article a few weeks ago and as I mentioned in my original question I setup a new Salary Sacrifice Item in July but this didn't change the problem with the Gross Pay Amount being reported incorrectly on GovConnect. Unfortunately the issue isn't resolved.
