Sub-Class Reports in Hosted

Hi,

I am tempted to start using sub-classes for some of my reporting, but I don't know what it will look like when I run & P&L by class.

Could someone please show me a screenshot of what it would look like.

Also, is it correct that you can't do a P&L by Class without it showing all of the sub-classes as well? For example, if you have Class Admin and then sub classes for Finance, Payroll and IT, will the P&L always show those sub-classes, or can a report be run where it shows just the Parent Class of Admin?

I've just created a few header Classes with subs in the Sample File:

… Then specifically allocated some invoices & expenses to just the subs. If I run a P&L by Class report & select only the subs, this is what it shows:

As you can see, it automatically also displays the header class Totals too (even though I specifically didn't select the header Classes)

If I mix it up & post some transactions to header Classes & some to subs … In the same way as for other Lists, if I select to display all Classes, the system will automatically re-name any header-posted entries under an additional column for it named "XXX - Other" :

However, if I filter to ONLY the header Classes, it will just show the header columns:
