Need to update the pay date of a submission

Would anyone know what I need to do to update a STP submission. I entered the payment date as 27/12/2025 instead of 27/12/2024. I have tried the update event however as the payment date is after the new event the 27/12/2025 pay event still sits there. So I haven't processed anything since.

@Nev A date change would normally require a Full File Replacement (FFR) rather than an Update Event (UE) as it affects all employees in the file. However, a Full File Replacement is only possible for the most recent Pay Event so I'm not sure if it will allow you to replace the post-dated one with a current-dated one 🤔 … however, it's worth a try!

Make sure you select the correct FFR Pay Event option - AND post-dated Pay run date - when creating the STP file from within your RA program:

… as well as when uploading it to Reckon's lodgment portal:

If that doesn't work, don't panic .. It's not actually impacting anything at the moment as we're still in the 2025 year (whereas your post-dated submission is in 2026 !) When you lodge a (correct) submission at that post-dated time (eg dated after 27/12/25) this will automatically override it anyway so it will eventually correct itself before that FY's finalisation 😊

export an STP file as an update instead of New - when you go to the next step it will ask what one do you want to update
