Hi everyone,

Iam having a frustrating issue with Reckon Accounts where, after logging in, the screen goes completely black, and I can't access any menus or features. The software seems to be running in the background because I can still hear notification sounds, but I can’t see anything on the screen.

I have tried restarting my computer, running Reckon as an administrator, and even reinstalling the software, but nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hi rubbyhaul,

To be clarify, whatever version of Reckon did you install on your computer? What version of Windows are you using right now? Have you also looked to see whether the program is being blocked by your security software?

    I hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Karren

    Hi @rubbyhaul

It sounds as though you're using Reckon Accounts Desktop from some of the info you've outlined but can I just clarify if that's correct as your Community profile has Reckon Accounts Hosted listed as your software?

If you're using Reckon Accounts Desktop, does it appear in the task manager as running after you attempt to launch the software?

Can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing when the issue occurs.

Thanks for your response! Yes, Iam using Reckon Accounts Desktop. It appears in Task Manager but only shows a black screen after logging in. I have tried restarting, running as admin, reinstalling, and checking updates, but no luck. I’ve attached a screenshot. Any troubleshooting suggestions? Appreciate your help!

You've conducted a fair bit of troubleshooting already which is really great, my next suggestion would be to give our technical support team a call so we can have a technician assist and potentially kick off a remote session if required.
