Reckon One has received a new update which has revamped a feature that has been highly requested by our users! We've also squished a few niggly bugs.

Check out the inclusions of today's update below!

🆕 Ability to add notes to an employee!

One of the most highly requested features has been the ability to add notes to an employee for important info such as pay rises, important events or other key details.

While there was a previous area for notes, it was located in a different area and overall wasn't a great experience. With this new revamped notes feature, its now easier, more intuitive and located directly within an employee's profile in payroll.

To access notes, select an employee's profile ➡️ under the General tab scroll to the bottom and you'll find Notes ➡️ Click the Edit option to add a new note.

🆕 Pay item enhancements

When you create a new Ordinary Time Earnings (OTE) earning item, super guarantee and collective agreement preferences are now enabled by default.

We've also expanded the Super Preferences and Other Preferences sections - depending on the pay item type - so these areas are always visible and you don't overlook them in error.

🆕 Keep track of our new releases!

We've added a What's new in Reckon One link under the Support menu in Reckon One. This will take you through to our release notes here on the Community so you review all the latest features and enhancements released to Reckon One.

🐛 Bug Fixes

✅ Ensured the pay run start date is retained when selecting during pay run creation.

✅ Fixed an issue where reports were showing values to 4 decimal places instead of 2.

✅ Ensured when an employee is terminated and the option to archive ticked following the termination pay run, they are archived and not left active.

✅ Provided a warning message when creating a new pay run which has the same pay run name as an existing pay run.

    Hi @Conp

Can you please create a new post by clicking HERE and give us a little bit more info on this. Specifically, where you'd like to see this and how you use this info. If you can add a screenshot of the specific screen as well that would be awesome.

I can speak with the product team in regard to this once I've got your info.

    Cheers!

    Hi

Just used this for the first time and noticed that it is limited to 1000 characters. I'm not writing essays but those 1000 characters are going to get used up really quick. Is there a view to expand the space for this?

    Hi @Tina

While there aren't any immediate plans for it right now, if its something users are finding limiting then its certainly something the team can review. Have you already reached the character limit on an employee?

    Hi Rav

Not yet but I added one note to an employee regarding parental leave information and used about 400 characters by the time it included dates, rates etc.
