How do I fix STP Gov connect trying to submit random payroll week not giving me option to choose.

I go to submit STP and a random week is automatically submitted I have to go in find the draft and delete then go again to submit then it finally takes me to Qdata to choose the correct week to submit. This has been going on for weeks I havae no idea what has changed or why this is happening how do I fix.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    As you mentioned, an STP submission for a random week was automatically submitted, and then you deleted the draft and resubmitted the correct one. However, once an STP submission is made, it cannot be changed or deleted. Could you clarify which draft you deleted?

    Additionally, when you process Single Touch Payroll, does it take you directly to GovConnect where you have that submission, or are there steps you need to follow in between? It would be helpful if you could explain the process in more detail, including the steps you performed. Thank you

    So while doing pays today I was taking notes of the steps so I could inform you and for some reason after weeks of this error happens this week it actually worked the way it should, so fingers crossed whatever the problem it's fixed but if it happens again I will go through the process again,

    I deleted the incorrect draft pay before it was actually submitted then had to go back in and select correct pay which then I am able to select the file I want.

    Hi @NarellePaterson

    I've had this occur in the past and it is due to me being so used to double-clicking the mouse to open folders etc. When I go to the Qdrive to find the STP file, it only needs one click of the mouse to open the folder where I store them. Two clicks results in whatever file is on top being uploaded to the portal as a draft, and it's never the file I want ☺️

    When you slowed down to take note of the steps, perhaps you only used one click to open the folder, not two. See if that helps with future submissions.
