#TipTuesday - Share prices not downloading? Try this! 📈

Having trouble with share price downloads?
If you've already checked off the main causes of why share price downloads can fail from Reckon's help guide here, then here's a little tip that I've found can get things moving back in the right direction.
✨ Go to One Step Updates
✨ Click the Select Quotes option on the right
✨ Click Clear All to deselect all shares
✨ Next, tick just one or two shares that you know well, click OK and update them, check to see if they worked
✨ After that, go back to Select Quotes and tick a few more and update them, check to see if they worked
✨ Keep doing this progressively and select a few more shares on each occasion, just don't select them all at once.
You shouldn't have to do this often but for those occasions where you think you may have tried everything, this might help as it has with me.

Awesome Tip, @GerryWinter. I can't tell you how many calls we get around this every year.
Thank you.

Dear Gerry
Thanks for your tip. I was successful in downloading end of February 2025 prices for selected equities after some trial and error with the new V31 software.
First I populated the data base with historical data derived from another source. Then I checked if the equities (where end of month prices were needed) had been selected. Then I selected update.
Bingo no loss of existing data and I had good historical data to monitor performance of selected equties.
Stlll do not understand why I lost the market price data for Term Deposits as Reckon provides no access to that kind of data. I had to re-insert this data manually
