Reckon One has received an update today which (re)introduces a cool new feature developed directly from user feedback along with enhancements.

Check out the inclusions of today's update below.

🆕 Enter hours and minutes in a pay run

Based on user feedback, the ability to enter hours and minutes when creating a pay run is now available in Reckon One! For example, when entering an hour and a half you can now choose to enter either 1.5 or 1h 30m.

Reckon One will automatically convert this to the appropriate decimal value after you enter in the quantity. The labels on the rate & quantity fields within the pay run drawer have also been updated with clear messaging.

✨ Enhancements to Deductions

To improve clarity around setting up deductions in Reckon Payroll, we have enhanced the Deductions pay item screens. You will now see a dedicated Account section with clear options for Account, Payee, or Both, along with access to additional information if needed.

This update ensures that deductions in a pay run are correctly processed, with amounts assigned to the appropriate account and/or paid to the correct Payee / Supplier.

✨ New bank added to banki for employees

UP Bank has been added as a selectable financial institution for an employee's bank account.

✨ Improved messaging

If you revert a pay run to draft and there is a bank account linked to the pay run which has a transaction lock off date set after the pay run's pay date, you will now be presented with a message to let you know what action needs to be taken.

✨ Enhancements to update events

We've ensured that an update event can be created for employees that have YTD balances entered but no pay runs.

✨ Enhancements to archive functionality

Ensured that when an employee is terminated and the option to archive ticked following the termination pay run, they are correctly archived and not left active.
